From technical SEO, to answer engines.
When I started seven years ago, ranking on Google was the whole job. Today patients also ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews for health information before they ever click a website. The job changed, and I changed with it.
I built my career on medical and healthcare websites, which are the hardest category in search: they sit in Google's YMYL classification, they are held to the strictest quality standards, and they are governed by advertising rules other industries never touch. That is exactly the environment that taught me to make content genuinely trustworthy, not just optimised.
Why AEO, and why now
Answer Engine Optimization is not a replacement for technical SEO. It is technical SEO pointed at AI engines. The same machine readable structure, entity clarity and independent authority that rank a page are what let an answer engine find, trust and cite it. Seven years of technical work is precisely what makes my AEO credible.
That progression is why I am known as the Queen of AEO, a descriptor earned through published work rather than self appointed: the FOUND Framework, the book Decision Engine Optimization, and documented client results. Real wins earn real titles, through proof rather than budget or borrowed authority.
What I'm working on now
Current contract work across healthcare and professional services:
Sydney Medical Clinic SEO & AEO
Medical SEO and AI-search visibility for a Sydney clinic. AHPRA-compliant content, suburb-level landing pages and AEO, applying the proven Brisbane methodology to the NSW market.
UK Construction Firm SEO
Full SEO programme for an established UK construction company, covering technical SEO, regional UK rankings and Google Business Profile optimisation.
I take a limited number of contract projects for businesses ready to win on both Google and AI search. If that is you, let's talk.
